Tips on how to ship After a person purchases one of your items, you want to make sure that he or she receives it just the way you described it in your auction listing. So here are some tips on how to do just that. Glass items - Use a box that is about 6" bigger all around the object you are planning to ship. Place the object in a foam wrap and put a couple of layers on it. After doing that, pour in some peanuts into your shipping box. Then place your object in the center of the box on top of the peanuts you just poured. Finally, fill the rest of the box with peanuts. Make sure that each side of the object has plenty of peanuts around it. This will ensure the object from being tossed around in the box during shipment. Pictures, posters, and other paper items- When shipping these items, it is very important that they are placed in a firm envelope or mailing tube. If you are shipping a 8x10 picture, place it in between two pieces of cardboard, then into a bubble mailer. Make sure to write "FRAGILE" and "DO NOT BEND", on the envelope. Finally, it is a good idea to have insurance on anything you ship. No matter how well you pack your items, you will experience at least a few of them breaking in the shipment. If you do not add the option of insurance in your auction, and do not pay for insurance on the item, you are liable if the item is damaged in the shipment. If you do have insurance on the item, make sure to keep the insurance receipt! You will need this if anything happens.
