Payment Methods and Shipping Methods When deciding which payment method/methods you would like to receive, consider a few things first. How would you like to pay for an online auction if you were to win one? How fast would you like your item sent to you after paying for it? Most people would answer the second question with, fast! If you plan on accepting checks, ask your bank how long it takes for checks to clear. Nearly all banks will say 7-10 business days. Whatever time it takes to clear the bank, make sure to give it in your payment description. Make sure you do not send the item/items until the check clears your bank. If you choose to accept money orders, we advise you say in your auction description that you will ship the same day, or next business day. This will make a lot of buyers want to pay using a money order so that they will have a faster turn around. And this is a quick form of payment for you as well. Most buyers will want to pay using an online escrow service such as paypal. By having a paypal account, it will enable you to accept several different credit cards and even e-checks. |
